Warehousing in South Africa lives on cut-offs: vehicles that must leave, SLAs that reset nightly, and e-commerce volumes that turned once-a-year peaks into a calendar of them. Labour is the biggest controllable input — and the least controlled, because absenteeism clusters exactly where volume does: Mondays, paydays, month-end and peak.
We run contract workforces inside DCs, cross-docks and cold chains: pickers, packers, reach and forklift operators, checkers and outbound teams. Attendance is managed at the gate, licences and inductions are verified before first shift, and replacement comes from the same inducted pool — because in this sector a warm body who doesn't know the aisle plan is nearly as expensive as an empty station.
