You may use this site for lawful purposes connected with finding out about RiseUp, engaging our services, reading our insights, using the free tools or applying for work. You may not interfere with the site's operation or security, attempt to gain access to non-public areas, harvest content or personal information by automated means, or submit false, unlawful or malicious content through its forms.

The content of this site describes how RiseUp works and the issues that shape South African workforces. It is provided for general information. It is not legal, tax or financial advice, and it is not a contractual offer capable of acceptance.

The free calculators apply published statutory rates and stated assumptions to figures you enter. Their output is guidance for planning conversations — verify anything you rely on against your own payroll, your bargaining council agreements and current legislation.

Engagement terms with RiseUp are agreed in writing, per client. Nothing on this site varies a written agreement.

Job adverts on this site close on their stated dates, and posting an advert is not an offer of employment. RiseUp never charges workersto register, apply or be placed. Anyone requesting payment in RiseUp's name is committing fraud — report it to info@riseupgroup.co.za.

The content of this site — text, design, graphics, photography, logos and marks, and the site's underlying software — is owned by or licensed to RiseUp and its suppliers, and is protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may view, download and print content for your own information; any other reproduction, distribution or commercial use requires our prior written permission.

Personal information submitted through this site is handled as set out in our Privacy Policy, and records access is governed by our PAIA Manual. Both form part of these terms.

Where the site links to third-party websites, those sites are outside our control and their content is not ours. A link is not an endorsement, and we accept no responsibility for third-party content or practices.

The site is provided “as is”. We work to keep it accurate, secure and available, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, RiseUp is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of, or inability to use, this site or its content. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008, where it applies.

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always the one published here, with its “last updated” date. Continued use of the site after a change is acceptance of the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from use of this site.

Photography on this site includes openly licensed documentary imagery, credited below, alongside conceptual operational imagery produced for RiseUp — both being replaced progressively by commissioned photography of RiseUp sites and teams.
