Kyalami — apply by 13 November 2026

Forklift stacking pallets against warehouse racking

About this position

Job Title: Stock Controller  Location: Kyalami

Job Overview: As Stock Controller, you will take ownership of stock accuracy across the entire facility, from raw materials and packaging through to finished goods. You will manage approximately 300 active SKUs and sub-categories, including finished goods in their various strengths and pack sizes, as well as raw materials, packaging and labels, each tracked by batch number and expiry date. Every order we fulfil depends on reliable stock figures. Your responsibility is to ensure they are accurate, every day.

Minimum Requirements:

Essential

A minimum of 8 years' experience in stock control or inventory management. Proven experience running stock across several hundred SKUs with batch and expiry tracking. Matric (Grade 12). Computer literate: strong Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups) and working experience of at least one ERP or stock system. Reliable own transport. The facility is not well served by public transport, and month-end and stock-take hours vary.

Advantageous

Retail stock control experience. Experience of Odoo. Other systems such as Sage, Syspro, SAP or Pastel are also valued. Experience in a regulated environment: pharmaceutical, medical devices, food or FMCG manufacturing. Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Good Distribution Practice (GDP) or Good Wholesaling Practice (GWP). Experience maintaining registers for scheduled medicines. A tertiary qualification or certificate in logistics, supply chain or inventory management (for example a SAPICS certificate). Barcode scanning and warehouse management system experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Run a daily and weekly cycle count programme and full stock takes at month end and year end. Investigate, explain and report every variance. No stock adjustment is made in the system without a signed count sheet and approval. Receive goods against purchase orders, capturing quantities, batch or lot numbers and expiry dates on goods received notes. Keep all received stock in quarantine until quality assurance releases it, and keep quarantined, released and rejected stock physically and systemically separate. Confirm stock and allocate it to customer orders on the daily order tracker, so that every order can be despatched within our 72-hour standard. Issue accurate pick lists and support the move to a full pick and pack system. Maintain registers for scheduled and controlled substances under the supervision of the responsible pharmacist, reconciling them daily and controlling access to secure storage. Keep stock records to GMP documentation standards (complete, contemporaneous, legible and signed), ready for SAHPRA inspection and internal audit at any time. Set and maintain minimum and maximum stock levels and reorder points for finished goods, raw materials, packaging and labels, and raise purchase requisitions on time. Maintain clean stock master data (SKU codes, units of measure, batches and locations) in the company's ERP system.
